4K & 5K Information

4-Year-Old Kindergarten

The Lake Mills Area School District provides a high-quality, half-day 4-Year-Old Kindergarten (4K) Program available to children who are 4 years old on or before September 1st. Our 4K Program is located at the Lake Mills Elementary School. The morning class sessions run from 8:05 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. The afternoon session runs from 12:25 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.

5-Year-Old Kindergarten

The Lake Mills Area School District provides a high-quality, full-day 5-Year-Old Kindergarten (5K) Program at Lake Mills Elementary School! To be eligible for 5K, a child must be 5 years old on or before September 1st.

Is Wrap Around Child Care offered?

Yes! Our 4-year-old kindergarten program offers on-site Wrap Around Child Care until the end of the school day.

The 4K Wrap Around Child Care Program provides convenient care for your child at school. The program encourages physical, emotional, social, and academic growth through play. Activities in the program include outdoor recess, free playtime, story/circle time, art, and learning activities.

Our goal is to create nurturing care for your child while creating an environment that complements your child’s school day.
